AMPLIFIERS

HF – RA500D / RA1000D

Datron offers high-power amplifiers to complement its 7000-series transceivers. These amplifiers are available in models ranging from 500W to 1kW, and come in both professional and military versions. In conjunction with a 7000-series transceiver, a modem, and appropriate data software package, these amplifiers can be used as part of a high powered radio data network.

The 500W and 1000W HF linear RF amplifiers are designed for use with exciters operating in the 1.6 to 30 MHz frequency band to form high-power HF systems. The amplifiers interface seamlessly with Datron’s RT7000 HF transceiver and can be used with any transmitter having an appropriate power output and compatible control interface.

VHF – AM1077 / AM2100

The AM-1077 is a 50W VHF linear RF amplifier designed for use with exciters operating in the 30 to 88 MHz frequency band to form high-power VHF systems. Shock resistant and moisture proof per MIL-STD-810, the AM-1077’s rugged compact and lightweight design make it ideal for mobile or base station systems.

The AM-1077 is suitable for use with Datron’s PRC1077 VHF transceiver and MT-1077 mount with AM1077ADPT adapter and also can be used with any VHF transmitter having an appropriate power output and compatible DC power and control interface including the AN/PRC77.

The AM2100 is a 75W VHF linear RF amplifier designed for use with exciters operating in the 30 to 88 MHz frequency band to form high-power VHF systems. The AM2100 is shock resistant and moisture proof per MIL-STD-810 and ideal for mobile or base station systems.

The amplifier interfaces seamlessly with Datron’s Spectre V® series (PRC2100V, PRC2150) of VHF transceivers and MT2100 mobile power adapter and also can be used with any VHF transmitter having an appropriate power output and compatible DC power and control interface.

HF - AM7700H

The AM7700H amplifier is a 100W HF linear RF amplifier designed for use with our tactical HF manpack radio operating in the 1.6 to 30 MHz frequency band to form high power HF systems. The amplifier interfaces seamlessly with Datron’s PRC7700H HF transceiver and MT7700H-1 mount.

The amplifier’s combination of functionality, reliability, and affordability make it one of the best-valued high power RF amplifiers on the market today. The AM7700H’s compact design and light weight make it ideal for mobile or base station systems.

TUNERS

RAT7000B

The AT7000B is a 125W HF automatic antenna tuner specifically designed to interface with Datron’s TW7000 HF transceiver to tune whip and long-wire antennas. It features internal VSWR monitoring and rapid digital tuning capability and has 100 channel memory capability for scanning or silent tune applications. The tuner is immersible and designed to operate under severe environmental conditions.

RAT1000C

The RAT1000C is a 1kW automatic antenna tuner developed to interface directly with Datron’s TW7000 HF transceiver and can also be used with any HF transceiver having an appropriate RF power output and control interface. The RAT1000C operates with most whip and long-wire antennas to 50m in length and includes 100 memory channels for scanning or silent tuning applications.

ANTENNAS

HF ANTENNAS

One of the most critical aspects of good HF communications is the choice and deployment of the antenna system. Care taken in the selection of the antenna, its location and installation, and matching to the associated transmitter are the most important factors in ensuring strong, reliable communications.

The antenna system should be carefully matched and the VSWR should not exceed 1.5:1 for best results. Datron realizes the importance of using the proper antenna, and has a wide range of experience in determining the correct antenna for the specific user application.

Multiband Antennas

As a critical component to the new Spectre-M series Multiband HH3100 Handheld radio and MT3100 Intelligent Mount, Datron introduces a full line of multiband (30–512 MHz), ruggedized, tactical antennas for ground-based communications. These new antennas are available in configurations for all operational environments from handheld, mobile, base-station, or quick-deploy.

This series of multiband (30–512 MHz), vertically polarized, omni-directional, variable-gain antennas feature N-type connectors with 50 ohms (nominal) impedance. The mobile, base-station, and quick-deploy antenna support 100W RF output power. The handheld antenna supports a maximum of 8W output power. These ruggedized antennas provide years of use in even the most extreme environments.
